Sarah BodenChief executive

Beginning her career as a housing officer, working to ease homelessness, Sarah now has more than 30 years' housing sector experience. Sarah was chief executive at Severnside for over 10 years, and under her leadership Severnside grew to become a successful, financially strong and diverse organisation.

Sarah was appointed chief executive of the Housing Plus Group in 2016 on merger and reappointed in 2019 following a  second  merger with  SARH, growing Housing Plus Group to provide over 18,000 homes, thriving care and property companies and an ambitious development programme.

She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and the Shropshire Registered Social Landlord Forum.

Les ClarkeExecutive director of housing and care

Les has many years’ experience in a variety of roles in housing, health and social care. He qualified as a State Registered Nurse and has worked in neurotrauma, spinal injuries, intensive care and surgery before moving into NHS management.

Before joining Housing Plus Group, Les was executive director of operations at the Terrence Higgins Trust, which is one of the worlds’ leading charities in the field of HIV and sexual health.

He spent several years with the UK’s leading provider of Extra Care Housing and also worked for a large private sector domiciliary care provider.

Les is a former visiting specialist lecturer at the University of East London and remains on the Nursing and Midwifery Council register for nurses.  As a practicing nurse, he maintains a strong interest in health.

Victoria WhibleyExecutive director of finance and transformation (currently on maternity leave)

After graduating university with a history degree, Victoria chose to step into accounting and completed CIPFA professional exams to become a qualified accountant whilst working in one of the largest audit and advisory firms in the world. Here Victoria worked within Audit and Assurance, specialising in housing.

Victoria joined Housing Plus Group in 2014 as a Financial controller and has earned numerous promotions within our Finance team before being appointed Executive director of finance in July 2021.

Andrew KennyExecutive director of property

Andrew has over 30 years’ experience of working within the construction sector, with over half of his career based in social housing.  

Before joining Housing Plus Group, Andrew worked as a senior operations manager for both national and international companies. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Management.  

Andrew joined Housing Plus Group in 2012 and has earned numerous promotions, becoming Director of construction in 2020, before being appointed Interim Executive director of property and asset management in April 2022.  

John RocheExecutive director of IT and transformation

John has dedicated his 35-year career to major system and operational transformation projects, with extensive experience in a range of industries, including national and international banking. John spent nine years in the data industry and has provided specialist support to businesses in the private sector, as a consultant. 

John first worked in the housing sector in 2017 and joined Housing Plus Group as Director of IT programmes and transformation in November 2021.He is currently supporting our executive team, to cover a period of maternity leave. 

Paul HollandExecutive director of finance

Paul has been closely involved with social housing for 18 years. He previously worked for a number of housing associations and joined Stafford and Rural Homes in 2016, which became Housing Plus Group following a merger in 2019. Prior to this, Paul spent seven years working as an accountant in the construction and development sectors. 

Paul is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and was appointed to the position of Director of financial planning in 2022. He is currently supporting our executive team, to cover a period of maternity leave.
